My current title is Graphic Designer, Web Master, Web Designer, Front-end Developer, Designer/Front-end Developer, Designer that codes, UI Designer, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, UI/UX Designer, Product Designer.
All those title changes should give you a glimpse of my journey through this ever-evolving industry.
I now focus my efforts on designing a seamless user experience rather than coding one. A designer who codes? Yes we do exist 🦄. Knowing how design translates into code — and understanding both its limitations and possibilities — has proven invaluable. That knowledge is something I always bring to my fellow designers, often in the form of my coding playground.
Regardless of the title, my guiding principle is simple: put the user first. I champion inclusive design, following best practices and WCAG guidelines to make sure every person can navigate and enjoy the experience in a way that suits their needs.
In every company I’ve contracted with, I’ve naturally stepped into lead-level responsibilities. I’ve crafted end-to-end customer journeys, shaped design systems and workflows, mentored fellow designers, and helped elevate the overall standard of design. That approach has often led to contract renewals and frequent offers to go permanent.
